Villas In Italy
Where: Tuscany, Italy
How much:
It varies, but Erica Bellini founder of Tuscan Dreams, which offers luxury accomodation in Italy, says it It could be anything from €2,000 to €5,000 to hire a villa in Tuscanny.
What you need to organise:
Civil weddings must take place in town halls (‘Comune’) approved by the local authorities, says Bellini. Unfortunately, Italian authorities do not recognize marriages in private villas or castles.
The good news is that the Comune is not a bleak experience. "The wedding halls are historical renaissance Palazzos with beautiful frescoed walls and not cold government halls! The Mayor or Vice-Mayor performs the ceremony," says Bellini.
Bellini adds: "In the UK you will need to arrange an appointment with the superintendent register to obtain a certificate of no impediment. Once you have obtained this you need to post it with an original birth certificate and a copy of passports of bride and groom and two witnesses to your local interpreting agency."
General Info:
Bellini says the best time time to get married in Italy is:
May/June - the countryside is still green and in bloom with poppy fields.
July - it's warmer but it is the perfect time to get married if you love sunflower fields and golden wheat fields
September - in perfect timing with the vine harvesting
