Coping with stress on your wedding day
By Lisa Clifford, vitality coach
In the run up to your wedding it will be easy to get caught up in the panic that can ensue. You will start to worry about whether it will all go to plan. Will the DJ play the right music? Will Uncle Bob who enjoys his tipple behave himself? Will the caterer arrive on time and will the food taste as splendidly as it did when you tested the samples.
To make the best out of your perfect day follow these nine simple tips:
1. Eat foods that make you feel satisfied, energised and healthy. Drink two litres of water everyday it keeps you focused and clear.
2. Although there will be lots of parties to attend - try to limit your alcohol intake to look and feel your best.
3. Choose a maid of honour who brings the best out in you. This may not be your oldest friend or sibling but a person who makes you feel good about yourself.

4. Focus your energy - take your excitement and anticipation and focus your energy into organising your best day then on your wedding day you can relax, knowing that you have covered all the bases.
5. Take time out for yourself. This is your day; do not focus on other people’s problems or insecurities. Ensure you set aside some ‘me time’ perhaps a massage or manicure.
6. Surround yourself with people you can trust. Checking the flowers and cake have arrived can be bestowed upon a good friend or family member. Don’t feel like you are being a burden to give someone such an important task will let them know how much you think of the them.
7. Focus on the positive. The wedding is the first day of the rest of your life. Remember it’s all about you and your partner. Don’t let anything negative and unimportant get you down.
8. Wedding day nerves - breath deeply and visualise walking towards your new life with your partner.
9. Remember its your day...enjoy it!
